Websites for carpenters and joiners

Websites for carpenters and joiners

Carpentry sells on photos and on the specific job. "Fitted wardrobes [town]" and "first fix carpenter" are different customers, and a site that treats them the same ranks for neither.

Carpentry and joinery covers everything from a loft hatch to a bespoke kitchen, and that breadth is the problem with most carpenters’ websites: one page that lists everything and shows nothing. Google cannot tell what you specialise in, and neither can the customer.

We split the work into the pages people actually search for, fitted wardrobes, kitchens, doors, staircases, decking, flooring, site carpentry, and build a gallery that is captioned by job and area so it keeps working for you. The WhatsApp button on every page asks for a photo and a rough size, which is how most carpentry quotes start.

What your customers type

  • carpenter [town]
  • fitted wardrobes [town]
  • joiner near me
  • internal doors fitted cost
  • bespoke alcove units
  • decking installer

What we usually find on carpenters and joiners' sites

66%no WhatsApp button
48%phone not tappable
47%no main heading
28%no website at all
  • Carpenters had the highest fault count of any trade we checked, nearly five problems per live site.
  • Almost half had a phone number that could not be tapped on a phone.
  • Three in ten had a homepage with almost no text at all, so there was nothing for Google to rank.

What the site must do

Five things a carpenter's website has to get right

Bespoke and site work separated

Fitted furniture customers want craft and photos. Builders wanting a first-fix carpenter want availability and a day rate. Two routes.

Gallery by job type

Wardrobes, alcoves, kitchens, doors, stairs, decking. Each photo captioned with the area, the timber and the finish.

A quote route that asks for a photo and a size

Most bespoke work can be roughly priced from a photo of the space and a measurement. The WhatsApp message asks for both.

Materials and process explained

MDF versus solid timber, spray finishes, lead times. Answering these on the page filters enquiries and builds trust.

Reviews that mention the job

A review about "alcove shelving in the living room" sells the next alcove job. Quoted with source and date.

Pages we build

A page for every job you want more of

Each of these is a separate search and a separate customer, so each gets its own page, written for it, with its own call, WhatsApp and form.

  • Fitted wardrobes and alcove units
  • Bespoke kitchens and furniture
  • Doors and door frames
  • Staircases and banisters
  • Flooring and skirting
  • Decking and garden carpentry
  • Site and first fix carpentry
  • Area pages for every town you cover

Everything a site includes

Questions carpenters and joiners ask us

I only have phone photos. Are they good enough?

Usually, yes. We tidy them up, crop them and size them for the site. Clean, well-lit photos of finished work beat professional photos of nothing.

Can I keep adding jobs to the gallery?

Send them on WhatsApp or email as you finish. We add them with the job and area written in, so the gallery keeps growing and keeps ranking.

Should I show a day rate?

For site carpentry, often yes, because builders search for it. For bespoke work a from-price per piece works better. We decide it with you.

Do you build a page for every job type?

For every job type you want more of. If you are trying to move away from small repair jobs, we do not build a page for them.
