Web design for trades and local businesses
Websites that make the phone ring, not just look nice.
Search-optimised websites for tradespeople, practices and local businesses across the UK, built around calls, WhatsApp messages and bookings, and kept fresh with the photos you send.
- "Phone number is a picture, so nobody can tap it."
- "No WhatsApp button, in a trade that quotes from photos."
- "One page for every service, so Google ranks it for none."
- "Copyright 2019. Looks like you have closed down."
- "No way to book without ringing during the day."
- Free check, no obligation
- Findings within one working day
- Fixed quotes, you own everything
Most local-business websites are quietly losing work. We measured it.
In October 2026 we checked 2,575 websites belonging to electricians, gas engineers, decorators, pest controllers, removals firms, scaffolders, carpenters, tilers and gardeners across London, the Home Counties and the North. 2,191 were live. Almost none were doing the job.
What we do
Website design, website checks and managed sites
We analyse first
Before anything is built we check your current site, or the gap where one should be: thirty technical and customer checks, written up in plain English. If your site can be fixed, we say so.
We build around the phone
A site tailored to your business and your areas, with tap-to-call, WhatsApp and a booking form on every page, a page for every service and every town, and the technical work that makes Google trust it.
We keep it alive
Send photos of finished work on WhatsApp or email. They go on your site the next working day, captioned and tagged for the area, so the site keeps ranking and never looks abandoned.
Before and after
The same business, rebuilt to be rung
The sites we replace usually look like the left-hand picture. Every one of the problems on it is costing jobs today, and every one is fixable. Tap the buttons to compare.
- Call and WhatsApp buttons in the first screen, on every page
- One page per service and per area, written for that job and that town
- Reviews quoted with their source and date
- Business details Google can read, so you get the rich result
- Loads in under two seconds on a phone
- Phone number is a picture, not a link
- One page, every service in one paragraph
- No way to message or book
- Copyright 2019: looks closed
- Call and WhatsApp in the first screen
- A page for every service and every area
- Reviews shown with their source
- Sticky call bar on every page
Built for your industry
Written for what your customers actually search
An electrician's site and a dentist's site need different pages, different forms and different proof. Each industry page below explains what the site must do, what we usually find wrong, and what we build.
Electricians
Electrician websites built around the searches that pay: EICRs, consumer units, rewires and EV chargers, with a price.
Websites for electriciansGas engineers
Heating websites that answer the three questions every cold customer has in the first screen: are you Gas Safe.

Send a photo. It is on your site tomorrow.
Most small-business websites die because nobody has time to update them. Ours stay alive with the thing you already do: taking a photo of the finished job. Send it on WhatsApp or email with a word about where it was. We put it in your gallery with the caption, the area and the description written in, so the page keeps ranking.
- Hosting, security and backups included
- Changes to prices, areas and services done for you
- A monthly report in plain English: calls, WhatsApp taps, form leads, rankings

Questions people ask us
What does the free website check involve?
We run thirty checks on your current site, from whether the phone number can be tapped to whether Google can read your business details, and we look at it the way a customer would on a phone. You get the findings in plain English within one working day, with what each problem costs you and what we would do about it.
Do you only work with tradespeople?
Trades are where we started and where our evidence comes from, but the same approach works for any local business that lives on enquiries: dentists, restaurants, nurseries, salons and clinics. Each has its own page on this site.
How much does a website cost?
We quote after the free check, because the right site for a one-man gas firm and the right site for a four-chair dental practice are different jobs. Every quote is fixed, itemised and includes the first year of hosting.
How long does it take?
Two to three weeks from the free check for most trades, three to four for builders and practices with more pages. The biggest delay is usually waiting for photos, so we help you gather them.
Can I keep my existing domain and email?
Yes. We move the site to your existing domain with no downtime and never touch your email. If you have no domain, we register one in your name, not ours.
Will you show my site as an example on yours?
Only with your written permission. There are no client sites, logos or reviews on this website, and that is deliberate.
